Deposits & Payment Terms – Rides R Us UK Ltd

1. Purpose of a Deposit

When you place a deposit on a motorcycle, you reserve that vehicle and instruct us to begin preparation (including MOT testing, full servicing, and safety checks).
The deposit ensures the motorcycle is held exclusively for you and removed from sale to other customers.

2. Non-Refundable Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable once paid, as they cover immediate costs such as MOT, servicing, administration, and the loss of opportunity to sell the motorcycle elsewhere.
If Rides R Us is unable to supply the motorcycle as agreed, your deposit will be refunded in full.
Your statutory rights are not affected.

Cooling-off rights for online or telephone orders:
By paying the deposit you request that we begin work immediately and you agree to waive the usual 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This waiver applies only to the deposit; your other legal rights remain.

3. Reservation vs Purchase

Payment of a deposit does not constitute purchase of the motorcycle.
It simply holds the motorcycle for you while preparation is completed.
Full payment of the remaining balance is required before collection or delivery.

4. Payment of the Balance

The outstanding balance must be paid in full before collection of the motorcycle.
Payment options:
- Card payment in person at Rides R Us.
- BACS transfer (bank transfer) cleared into our account at least two working days prior to collection.
Motorcycles will not be released until cleared funds are received.

5. Cancellations

If you cancel after paying the deposit, the deposit will be retained.
If we cancel or cannot supply the motorcycle, the deposit will be refunded in full.
We may agree, at our discretion, to transfer a deposit to another motorcycle if suitable.

6. Ownership & Risk

Ownership of the motorcycle does not pass to you until full payment has cleared.
Risk and responsibility remain with Rides R Us until collection or delivery.

7. Statutory Rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
